2019 gmc sierra 1500 diesel review, pricing and detail
Sierra will provide the first ever GM cargo box with compact carbon fiber. Called CarbonPro, it replaces the inner panels of steel and ground with a carbon fiber composite that GMC says it better protects against scratches, scratches and corrosion. CarbonPro will also have a lighter weight of 62 pounds than the standard steel box, although GMC has not released any load capacity information. The CarbonPro option will not be available at launch but will be offered at some point during the model year.
As for the standard steel bed, GMC says it has been modified to be 50% stronger than the previous model. The short box is 63 cubic feet long, 10 cubits larger than the previous unit, and adds additional connecting points and a 110-volt output.
Both SLT and Denali trim Sierras will get the so-called GMC BlackBerry MultiPro. This is essentially a small rear door inside the large gate that can be manipulated independently of the main piece. With six different functions and functions, MultiPro can be converted to a permanent workstation, a set of steps (with a helper handle), or different load stops. Two new buttons on the rear door handle also make the rear door release easier on the inside, and the full rear door can be opened remotely through the FOB key.
Three engines are available in the 2019 gmc sierra 1500 diesel, including a 5.3-liter V-8 engine, a 6.2-liter V-8 engine and 3-cylinder 3.0 liter oil turbines. The 5.3-liter V-8 comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the other two come with a 10-speed automatic system. The power output and EPA fuel economy ratings for the three engines have not yet been released.

GMC claims that the new truck is larger in “almost all its dimensions” but has not given accurate figures. Sierra now uses aluminum for its doors, bonnet and rear door, and claims to be 360 pounds lighter than the previous model. While Silverado has taken a completely new approach to design, the Sierra design is a more evolutionary change that retains some of the basic elements of previous models. The focal points are huge C-shaped headlights and daytime light bulbs. All lighting, including fog lamps and taillights, is used for LED lamps. Overall, the Sierra’s nose seeks a larger presence with larger chrome grids and a longer lid. The Denali models will feature new 22-inch alloy wheels, while the SLT offers 22-inch aluminum wheels with chrome finish. The high-end GMC also features Denali on the rear door.
