Chevrolet introduced the Silverado 1500 in 2019 in January, Silverado 4500 HD, 5500 Head and 6500 Hardec in March. Today, the manufacturer announced that Silverado’s 2,500HD and 3500HD versions will be launched in 2019 as 2020 models. This will be the third brand new model of trucks to join the Silverado family in just 18 months.
The current generation of Chevrolet Silverado HD models are powered by a 6.0 liter VORTEC V-8 engine with 360 horsepower and 380-lb torque, a 6.6-liter Dioramax V-8 engine with 445 hp, 910 lb-ft torque, and a 6-liter engine 8-liter V-8 SFI Gaseous CNG / LPG. We can easily assume that the 6.0-liter V-8 engines and a 6.6-liter V-8 engine will be transported to the next generation of the Silverado HD models with some slight increases in horsepower and torque.
