2018 FORD FUSION ENERGI-ford electric car
The 2018 FORD FUSION ENERGI is now in its sixth model and is older than any medium-sized sedan competing with hybrid versions or additional highly efficient components. Fusion was refurbished last year moderately, and is still a good looking car with a comfortable and stylish interior design. Fusion has four cutting levels: Base S, SE Medium, Titanium Premium, and the latest platinum. Fusion Energi comes with components at SE, Titan or Platinum levels.
Six years after the launch of the Ford Fusion sedan, its complaint has been on its back. In fact, most competitors adopted a copy of the same profile, making Fusion a pioneer.
The 2018 FORD FUSION ENERGI are slightly lower in angles and heavier than the lightest and most agile of gasoline fission, but they still hold the road well and tend to angle in a balanced and stable manner. Our only complaint is low-directive routing, which requires more confusion on the twisted roads than we expected. The brake mix is excellent. Ford and Toyota have the most expertise in combining the renewed braking and friction of any hybrid maker, and they appear in very smooth transition processes.
The 2018 FORD FUSION ENERGI plug-in hybrid, rated 22 miles from the electric range, will recharge the depleted battery within 3 to 4 hours using a 240-volt second-level charging station, or about 7 hours on a home plug. The on-board charger operates at 3.3 kW, slower than the new hybrids in the components, but is still acceptable for most uses. Cover over the charging port on the left front bumper is by far the only distinguishing feature of 2018 FORD FUSION ENERGI against a hybrid, unless you read the decals carefully.
The Fusion Energy comes from a 4-liter 4-liter engine coupled with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The total output is 188 or 195 hp, depending on whether the exhaust mode is activated and the power is transferred to the front wheels via the CVT. Around the city, Energie accelerated at a decent rate. However, there is a different story on the highway, where the power-generating system is struggling to reach speed. The fuel economy figures (EPA) are in 104 MPGe cities, 91 freeways, 97 in electric mode only, 43 mpg, 41 and 42 when operating the gas engine. Energi has a full electric range of 21 miles, less than 27 miles from Hyundai Sonata Plug-In Hybrid.
The Ford Fusion Hybrid and Energi in 2018 offer a competitive interior room, but the front seats are the best place to spend time walking. Last year, a specific handle for the turntable opened up space on the console for more storage, with luggage holders that Ford says are easier to access and more comfortable.
Inside, Fusion Energi looks like a standard Fusion. Featuring a sleek design and high quality materials make it look like a much more expensive car. Those sitting in the foreground will find that the seats provide the ideal comfort and support for long journeys, the electrically adjustable driver seat with extra back-up support. The rear seat is less comfortable for older passengers, where the sloping roof eats in the head space available. However, the largest inventory of space is the trunk – with a large battery consuming a good amount of room, where the cargo area drops from 16 to 8.2 cubic feet.
The huge rectangular mesh hatch expanded and made it brittle last year, with LED headlamps inside Chevron operating lights. The shape is sensitive to color, although: light colors give the impression of thickness through the middle, while dark colors play sports lines.
